Ok maybe I will re-type a little of what I said...
Alright... I suppose I wanted to have some random place where I can find all the information I was referencing, if I needed it, so I guess I will re-type in brief stuff again...
Chatting to Simon from globaltolerance I was reminded of Unltd and how they fund entrepreneurs. Simon happened to mention that they tend to be undersubscribed, and have fund available for people in many different areas... That got me thinking of the conversation that I'd had the day before with Faheem (my cousin Farouk Bhai's brother in law) about a competition that had a deadline fast approaching. As I was looking for Simfonec, I also came across The Oxford Business Plan Competition as well.
These all reminded me of the business/entrepreneurship training that I had been offered by Learninghouse a few months earlier. (one of the perks of being a non-member of the Hub, is that I get included in all the mailings that go out about events and stuff... Kinda a must have to see into the world of the Hub!)
Interestingly enough, I was getting ready to throw in the towel with being entrepreneurial, and going down that tried and tested road of 'employeeship' that all my cousins, uncles and aunts, often poke jabs at - but ultimately rely upon for their security.... Guess I might have to take the heads up with this wind that's come blowing in from the East, and keep following the hints to see where they take me.... Who knows where I might end up?? One thing I'll make sure of though, is that wherever I end up, I'll make sure it's so goddamn interesting, that people will come to read about it! (Zakki - just a reminder that you got so bored, you actually dug up this blog in my profile!) Still - anything to make my family smile, or laugh, or poke fun... Just remember, when I'm a billionaire, you'll still be working for someone else - preferably ME!! Cos then I'll be able to walk, in laugh evilly, and then leave!! (joke!)
Well, best think of which idea to turn into a business plan, got to meet that deadline of
tomorrow, 15th Feb, 16:00 hours! Plus got a website to build for a client! But that'll all be done soon enough!
