Back to the drawing board with polyphasic sleeping

Hmm... Went to bed last night at about 8pm, for some unknown reason, and wokeLink up this morning at 5am. Around 9am, I decided to re-visit the idea of polyphasic sleeping... So unlike last time, where I started with a full night of 'not' sleeping, I'm going to dive right in, and this time start the polyphasic sleeping schedule, having had a good nights rest!

I suppose part of the inspiration came from reading Steve Pavlina's blog mention a man from Vietnam not sleeping for 30 years! Not that I plan on going that far... but it's interesting how many people are successfully living with a different sleep schedule... More than you'd imagine... but I won't start listing them here - I'll save that one for once I get a blog running on my own website - and then start going into the details of adding all the useful information I come across there! For now, you can follow this link to my del.icio.us bookmarks of polyphasic sleepers that I came across, or try looking at one of over 133 different webpages that people have collectively tagged as 'polyphasic' at del.icio.us.

I'm just waking up from my half hour nap at 9pm (following a schedule of half hour naps at 1am, 5am, 9am, 1pm, 5pm, 9pm), and I'm already noticing something a little 'wierd' to say the least... The fact that I've had a full nights sleep already, clearly my body shouldn't be tired. But when I wake up out of these half hour naps, it seems like I'm 'tired' . Dunno why - but it's interesting, how when I started polyphasic sleeping on 'no' sleep, I didn't feel tired taking the naps straight away... I'm sure over the weekend it's going to get interesting - especially since I'm meant to be at a weekend workshop, as well as helping out with our family tradition of Haleem.. where we cook the dals(lentils), wheat, barley, rice and meat for a day, before serving it up to all our family and friends (or as many as we can accomodate!). Anywayz more later!
